Conference "Solar Energy for Africa"

The event was organized by Dialog International and the Network of African organisations. It was an Agenda-21-activity of the city of Düsseldorf and promoted by the NRW foundation for environment and development. It took place in the Heinrich-Heine-University.

The conference presented, advertised and discussed different thoughts to the utilization of solar energy, showed practical examples - also from the area of development cooperation -and gave a chance to the exchange of experience. Interested men of knowledge as well from the fields technique and science as from the fields development cooperation and environmental protection could inform about developments and experiences.
Interested people from all social stratums could be offered a possibility to inform themselves about this area of trend-setting alternative energies.
